Attorney Charles Tony Piccuta Becomes a Member of the National Police Accountability Project
On November 18th, 2016, Piccuta Law Group attorney, Charles Tony Piccuta, gained membership to the National Police Accountability Project. The non-profit organization is comprised of plaintiffs lawyers, law students and legal workers who are dedicated to ending police misconduct and law enforcement abuse of authority. The organization is a project of the National Lawyers Guild and strives to accomplish its goals through coordinated legal action, public education and support for grassroots organizations seeking to end police misconduct.
The organization provides resources to attorneys combatting police misconduct and advancing civil rights cases against law enforcement agencies. The organization connects hundreds of civil rights attorneys across the country and allows those attorneys to collaborate in their efforts. Membership allows the attorneys access to a database and list serve where the attorneys may share their experience, knowledge and results.
Charles Tony Piccuta has handled police misconduct and civil rights excessive force cases in the United States District Courts for the Northern District of California, the Eastern District of California, the Central District of California and District of Arizona. Earlier this year, the Piccuta Law Group settled a Fresno County civil rights excessive force case for $650,000.00.
