Piccuta Law Group Settles Two California Motor Vehicle Accident Cases for Policy Limits
This week the Piccuta Law Group settled two motor vehicle accident cases for the insurance policy limits. The first case involved a car crash that occurred in San Jose, California. The firm’s client was t-boned when a negligent driver failed to stop at an intersection. The client had a previous rotator cuff surgery and required a second surgery after the collision. The firm successfully argued that the crash caused the need for the second surgery. This was despite the client having degenerative conditions in both rotator cuffs and the original surgery itself having a mixed success rate.
The second case involved a car accident in Monterey, California. In that case, the firm’s client was involved in an intersection accident after the other driver failed to stop for a red traffic light. The firm’s client had a previous lower back surgery and was still undergoing treatment at the time of the collision. The collision set the client back in her recovery and made her lower back injury worse. The firm successfully obtained the full insurance policy limits from that at fault driver arguing against the position that the client’s problems were pre-existing and from a degenerative condition. The firm also successfully obtained the full insurance policy limits from the client’s underinsured motorist policy.
