Piccuta Law Group Files Medical Malpractice Lawsuit Against Monterey Medical Practice for Laser Burn Injuries

On July 7, 2017, the Piccuta Law Group filed a new lawsuit in Monterey County Superior Court. The lawsuit alleges medical malpractice against a local orthopedic surgeon and his medical practice. Specifically, the lawsuit alleges that the medical practice deviated from the standard of care when performing a laser treatment on the firm’s client.

The firm’s client was receiving a laser treatment on her right big toe that was supposed to promote blood circulation and healing. However, the lawsuit alleges the practice was negligent in performing the procedure causing severe third degree burns on the toe. The client was seriously injured and required multiple skin grafts to treat the wound.
